Barn Wood Daddy Frame

When we moved into our home there was a lot of old fencing that needed to be torn down. We cut off the rotten bottom, took out the rusty nails and kept all that wood. We have done multiple projects out of them and we keep finding more things to make. Here is a perfect example.

What you will need:

  • Wood or pre-made frame
  • vinyl or paint
  • paint brush (if you do the paint)
  • picture

My husband cut the wood at a 45* angle and fitted all the pieces together for me. We have a rustic/farmhouse feel in our home so I left the wood bare to fit the theme. You can always paint it any color you like to fit your home. 🙂

Everyone loves showing off their friends and family with beautiful frames. Amazon has a wide selection of unique frames for anyone!

If you are using vinyl, print out your decal and apply it to the wood. If you are using paint, you can make a stencil or have one ready. Or you could write the words and free hand it. I make my own stencils for now until I can buy a Circuit machine. 😀 I’ve gone into How I make a stencil in a past post if you would like to read it.

Once you have the type you want down use an X-Acto knife to cut the letters out for a stencil then trace the words onto the wood and paint them in. 🙂
