This poem will touch your heart no matter if you are a man or woman. For my husbands first Father’s Day I made him this poem with our oldest’s hand and feet print and it still sits on his desk at work.
Looking at it makes me realize how fast time will fly! I can’t believe the little terror that runs through this house these days was once small enough to make those handprints!
I printed the poem out and then put the prints on there. If your children are less than 2 years old and you are wanting to get a good hand print wait till they are sleeping. I will be a HUGE battle and paint will just end up all over the place if you try to do it while they are awake. I’ve done enough handprints to know. LOL
I used two different fonts and sizes because I always feel it adds more to the piece.
Walk alongside me Daddy, and hold my little hand. I have so many things to learn that I don’t yet understand. Teach me things to keep me safe from dangers everyday. Show me how to do my best at home, at school, at play. Every child needs a gentle hand, to guide them as they grow. So walk alongside me Daddy, we have a long way to go.
Have a wonderful Father’s Day!
What have you made today?
