Mom Is My Favorite

Mom is okay, but if I had to say my favorite, I’d say you daddy! 🙂

I love this card. LOL It was fun to make and it is funny. If you come from a joking family like I do this will be a hit. 😀 Bonus, it is super easy to make!

What you will need:

  • card stock or construction paper
  • scissors
  • pencil
  • color pens (optional)
  • computer (optional)
  • envelope

Grab an 8 1/2 x 11 card stock or construction paper and fold it in half long way and cut.

Cardstock is a must in any crafters supply closet..png

Fold one of the halves in half as shown:

Now comes the thinking part. You have to find a third of the half side. I measured. If you used an 8 1/2 x 11 it should be 1 7/8 ths

Then keep folding it over 4x so it looks like the photo below.

Now cames the fun part. You get to add the text. I use my computer as a light table because I am not a typography major. I can not make beautiful fonts out of thin air. LOL Type the card up in any program you have. I use word or canva. With the card closed add the “mom is my favorite” part first. Turn the brightness on the computer up all the way and just hold the paper up to the computer. Now trace with a pencil.

After you have it all traced take your color pens or just a black marker and trace over the pencil. And you card is done! 😀 If you do not have an envelope for  your card or you would like everything to be hand-made read how to make an envelope.

Cards are something we use all the time! but when you make your cards how do you mail them or give them? This pack of 50 has every color you could need!.pngimg_5992.jpg
