I know this could be used for more than just Mother’s Day but it is an EASY project even dads can do with their kids. Sorry Dads, but lets face it, you’re just not as crafty as mom’s. LOL My husband always comments when I put up my three-year olds hair saying “It looked fine 5 mins ago” (when it had a TON of knots and she looked like a male lion! LOL Y’all just aren’t build for all this cutesy stuff. LOL
Anyway, Mom will love anything as long as it came from your child.
What you will need:
- Card stock paper
- Pen/ pencil
What you’ll have to do:
- Figure out all the colors that you would like from the card stock. Card stock held up better than construction paper. 🙂 Then cut them into strips. I chose 1″ strips. It depends on how big you would like it but I feel 1″ is a pretty good size. 🙂 I also chose to go rainbow style but if Mom’s favorite color is blue, for example, choose three different shades of blue and maybe some white.
2. Fold the paper in half:
3. Bend the paper around to create a <3 shape and staple the pieces together. Full disclosure, I used tape. LOL My husband says I am tape happy all the time. LOL I would have used a staple but we just moved and I cant find anything….. I looked. I feel the stapler would be better.
4. Place the hearts in a circle to get an idea where you need to staple them together to create a wreath. And staple!
5. You’re done! I added a piece of ribbon to hang it. CUTE IDEA: after mom falls asleep hang this next to her bed, on her door handle, bathroom or anywhere you know she will go in the morning and her face will light up on Mother’s Day. 🙂 You could even hang a picture of the family/ kids from a string in the middle.
